GoldCoast Salads Voluntarily Recalls Blue Crab Spread Due to Possible Health Risk
GoldCoast Salads, a NaplesFlorida firm, is voluntarily recalling it’s Blue Crab Spread that may be contaminated withListeria.
The product being recalled is coded EXP 1-31-13.
The following products are being recalled:
Blue Crab Spread, in containers with a weight of:
- 1 pound and
- a weight of 8 ounces.
The product was produced December 3, 2012 and distributed to stores in the North East and South East United States.
Because of the potential for food borne illness, we urge consumers who have purchased the suspect products not to eat them, but to return them to the point of purchase.

Austin, TX – Whole Foods Market is recalling an additional lot code (for a total of two lot codes) of Whole Catch Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon (4 oz), UPC code 0 99482 40880 0, cold smoked and sliced, sold in stores in 18 states, The first lot code, 7425A2298B, was recalled on Fri., Jan. 25,
Whole Foods Market is recalling one lot code of Whole Catch Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon (4 oz), cold smoked and sliced, sold in stores in 12 states, because it may contain Listeria Monocytogenes.
The recalled items were sold in stores in:
- Colorado,
- Connecticut,
- Florida,
- Idaho,
- Kansas,
- Maine,
- Massachusetts,
- New Jersey,
- New Mexico,
- New York,
- Rhode Island, and
- Utah.
Updated recall is a second lot code, 7425A2297A. Products with this lot code were sold in stores in :
- Arkansas,
- California,
- Colorado,
- Idaho,
- Kansas,
- Louisiana,
- Nevada,
- New Mexico,
- Oklahoma,
- Texas, and
- Utah.
Both lot codes of the recalled salmon were sold in black-and-gold, flat, rectangular vacuum-sealed packages.
Whole Foods Market Voluntarily Recalls Prepared Food Items Made with Circle Sea Salmon Lox Trim in Two States Due to Possible Health Risk
Whole Foods Market is recalling four items made with Circle Sea Salmon Lox Trim sold in Oregon and Washington state store seafood departments due to possible Listeria Monocytogenes contamination.
The salmon lox trim products (cold smoked salmon lox trim — PLU 97629, Bagel Half with Lox Cream Cheese w/Capers – PLU 92811, Whole Bagel with Lox Cream Cheese with Capers – PLU 98437, Gravlox Cream Cheese Spread – PLU 95307) were sold in clear plastic containers or plastic wrapped with the label “Whole Foods Market.” The recall includes all of these products sold before Jan. 29, 2013.
Sprouters Northwest of Kent, Washington is recalling 1953 pounds of:
- alfalfa,
- clover,
- brocco sandwich sprouts, and
- spicy sprouts
Due to the potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes
Products were distributed from 1/10/13 to 1/18/13 in:
- Washington,
- Oregon,
- Alaska, and
- British Columbia, Canada
Through retail stores and food service distribution chain.

The affected products are sold under the Sprouters Northwest and LifeForce brand names and are packaged in:
- plastic clamshell containers,

- plastic trays in 3 oz., 4 oz., 5 oz., and in
- plastic 1 lb. 2lb, or 5lb. bags.
